I love running!
I love the fact I’ve lost a lot of weight!
I’m excited every time I realize I ran a marathon!
I can’t believe how much my life has changed since I started running in March 2012.
I began this blog so that I could write about my running since people would get a glazed look on their face when I would try to tell them about the benefits and the joys of running.
I began writing this blog in January with 2 goals:
- Write everyday if possible.
- Respond to every comment because every comment deserves a response.
Now, 253 posts later, I have kept to my goals and have gotten a lot more in return.
- I have found a blogging community that is supportive, encouraging and inspirational.
- Although I have never been “into” social media relationships, I have found that there are great people and new friends I’ve made because of this blog.
- The amount of support I’ve received via this blog and all the awesome people who follow it has been amazing. My marathon wouldn’t have been half as fun and successful if it weren’t for all of you!
- I’ve had a lot of fun.
I guess I am in a reflective mood today. It has been a great 9 months on this blog and I hope to have many years with this blog. One day I may even take my posts and turn them into a book about my journey. That would be a lot of fun. I guess I should get to Boston first – no need to get ahead of myself.
Have a wonderful day!!!
I was concerned this was a goodbye entry! Whew! Keep at my friend, we need you and your insights. Have a great day!
Thank you!!! I guess I could have written that a bit differently. :). Enjoy your caffeine!!!

I meant keep at it! I have no business posting anything until I’m fully caffeinated.
Made me smile!
Then my post was successful. 🙂
I love the enthusiasm and joy in this post. Thank you for sharing it!
Thank you. I appreciate it!!!!!!

I’m with Maybe Marathoner – this made me smile! Since I’m shut out of 2014 already, why don’t you join me in my quest to BQ for 2015? Then we will both have something to write enthusiastically about!
Keep running and blogging, friend!
Deal!!! I have been wondering if you were still writing. 🙂 I hope your training is going well. I’m excited for your marathon even without Boston!!! You will do awesome!
Still writing – just been tied up dealing with sick child and trying to get him well. That and my own lingering cold. Training is going as well as it can at this point – just trying to remain injury free. And not eat my weight in gummy bears.
Thanks for the encouragement!!
Good luck with the training. I hope you all get better soon. Bummer training with a cold!!

I’m so glad to have found your blog. You really have inspired me and I’ve got Boston dreams now too.
That means so much to me. Thanks. Let’s all work toward 2015!! Even if we don’t make it – it will be fun trying.

It’s so exciting to hear that you’ve had a positive experience blogging and finding online support. I’m loving the blogging as well for this purpose – motivation, inspiration, encouraging each other. Keep it up!
Thank you!!! Blogging has been such an unexpected surprise to me. I’ve never been one for writing anything much and now I am so glad I do!!! I’m glad for you too!!!

I love this, I feel the same way about much of it, definitely an amazing community of people! And I think a book is a grand idea! 🙂
I agree! I love this community. I’m glad I stumbled upon it. 🙂
