Thank you all so much for your support of me and this blog. It has been very difficult now, going on 2 weeks walking as I try to get my hip and achilles better so I can run again. I cannot thank you all enough for the encouragement and hope you have given me that I will be back running one day.
Not much is new today. I do feel somewhat better, but am still going to just walk while I wait to see the doctor on Thursday.
My walk yesterday was uneventful. 🙂 I walked 3.1 miles at about a 15 minute pace. It took an 45 minutes to walk what I have run in under 22. Anyway, I am thankful that at least I can walk!
The weather is cool and the days are nice and I am thankful to be a healthy 50 year old male considering 2 years ago I was anything but healthy.
Have an awesome day.
Tom
That’s a great attitude to have – at least you can walk! Hold onto that thought when you start feeling frustrated. And remember – this really will pass. Hang in there, Tom!
Thank you!!! I can only do what I can do, but it is hard; especially as the scale goes a little higher.
I agree – I think it’s great that you’re staying active, even if it’s frustrating. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone handle an injury so well! Hope you get some good news at the doctor and continue to feel better!
You are too kind. Thank you. I am trying to do anything I can to keep the “flame” alive and not go backwards.
Glad you are staying active Tom. Hang in there, you’ll be back to running before you know it!!
Thanks Paul! I really hope so!!!
The important thing is you are and will not give up. I do understand its difficult, be easy on yourself and I wish I had some magic words to get you through the lows, for myself its just a constant reminder to stay positive and I will get there one step at a time. 🙂
Very true! One step in front of the other. I’m home sick today. Just another bump. I hope things are going better for you!!!
Oh no! I feel better soon! Things running wise seem to be going better, I’m not allowing myself to get too excited just yet though 🙂
I fully understand. Keep putting one foot in front of another! 🙂
Will do 🙂
