Another successful run yesterday. I decided to stop after 3 miles since I was a bit sore from Sunday and my heel spur was acting up.
During my run I came up on 3 women out power walking. They were taking up the left half of the road, so I had to go around on the right. As I approached them I noticed that the one in the middle had a jogging stroller. They were talking and having a good time. I went around them and they commented about me running so fast (which was a pleasantry as I wasn’t running fast at all). I looked back after I got around them to look at the baby and there was a dog in the stroller! Ha. They called out, “bet you thought it was a baby in there!” That made my run a bit more enjoyable.
So I ran my route and headed home.
All in all it is nice that I got two runs in a row in. I am not hurting at all today and feel like I might have turned the corner. Of course I have 10 extra lbs now I have to work on losing, but it could be worse.
Finally, I have had several blog nominations lately. Thank you to everyone. I plan on working on them as I get my life in some sense of order. I really appreciate you all!
Tom
Well now this is GREAT news to start off this Tuesday. So happy for you! 10 lbs is nothing for you. Focus on doing what you love – running – and the weight will take care of itself.
Thank you! It is exciting to wake up the day after running and not be limping. 🙂 I just need to get my habits back on track and things should fall into place. Enjoy the cool weather in Texas!
Trying. I got blown all over the place with 30mph winds this morning as the front pushed thru. Tomorrow it will be 23 on my run-THAT I am looking forward too!
30mph! Wow that must have been a workout!!!
This is great news! I probably would have laughed I’d I saw a dog in a baby stroller.
I wanted to take a picture for the blog, but I thought they might think that a bit creepy. It was a fun moment though!
Fabulous news…and was the dog small? Surely it was tiny!
It was small, but not tiny. It was funny seeing a dog just sitting in the jogging stroller. It made my run. 🙂
I can’t imagine pushing a jog stroller with a dog to boot! That’s funny.
It was so funny!!!
Yay! Big step forward 🙂
Thanks! Very exciting.
You sound much more chipper. I can’t wait to read about your next race!
Thanks! I think I’m doing better. No races on the horizon. Maybe I should start looking. 🙂
Good news Tuesday! Glad you’re out and running again. Take it easy building back up and don’t worry about the 10lbs, it’ll fall away as your running increases.
Will do Bernie and thanks. The last thing I want to do us get hurt again. I hate the excess weight though!!!
