Summer is hot.
Okay, not the most astute comment I’ve ever made on this blog…
Yesterday was rough. I really am tired of running in the heat and I didn’t want to go out. Fortunately it was a bit cooler and it began sprinkling as I was running. When it started raining, it got very humid and hard to breath and then it cooled off. I never thought mid 80s would be considered cool, but it was nice.
Half Marathon Mama expounded on “The Voice” post I wrote on Monday. It is so helpful knowing that others suffer with negative thoughts and how they overcome those thoughts.
This summer has brought out the negative side of me. I think it is training for a marathon in the August heat of the South. Also the fact I have to run in the afternoon at the hottest time of the day.

No, it isn’t about football, it is about determination! It is about getting through the summer. It is about doing more than people think or expect you can do. Watch it before your next run, before your next workout, before you set out the door!
We all need motivation at times. We all need to remove the negative thoughts and voices from our heads.
YOU CAN DO MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU CAN!!!

I love it too. I don’t know if it was the video or the fact I got to run in the morning, but I just ran the fastest 6 miles since the Spring! I hope the same for you in you 8 miles!!!
Summer is hot! I’m hoping the weather will cool down soon (and humidity will go away) so I have one less excuse!
Then the real running begins. 🙂

I loved the video and so needed it today! Feeling very discouraged after my walk/run yesterday and decided its best to not do my 1/2. In the process of letting go and trying to stay positive!
I’m sorry. It takes time to come back from getting hurt, especially your back. Be patient. I am confident you will be back, stronger than ever!!! Smart about this 1/2. There will be others! Sometimes you take 1 step backward before you can take 2 steps forward. I believe in you!!!

Awesome! I hate running in the heat but not as much as the humidity. Weather it is discouragement or just being in a rut, motivation like this can get almost anyone going again. Got to just keep going, push just a little bit harder. Progress however slight is still progress, I keep telling myself. Thanks for the video!
